This dark & moody studio set will feature a dark backdrop with light shining through strategically placed openings, creating striking patterns and shadows. Fog and haze will add depth and atmosphere, giving the images a dramatic, edgy feel inspired by the world of jazz and musical theatre.

ATTIRE, SHOES, HAIR, MAKEUP & ACCESSORIES

ATTIRE:
Think old-school jazz, Bob Fosse, and Chicago. Black, white, red, pinstripes, fitted dancewear, high-waisted pants, leotards, vests, suspenders, fitted jackets, skirts, gloves, and pieces with a vintage theatrical feel.

SHOES:
Character shoes, jazz shoes, boots, or pointe shoes if they work with the look.

HAIR:
Sleek and polished styles, low buns, slicked-back hair, ponytails, vintage-inspired waves, or slightly undone theatrical styles.

MAKEUP:
Defined eyes, bold liner, lashes, red or dark lips, and classic stage-inspired makeup. Keep it polished and dramatic.

ACCESSORIES:
Fedoras, bowler hats, gloves, suspenders, ties, statement jewelry, fishnets, and other vintage-inspired accessories can add character to the look.

CREATIVE DIRECTION

This session is all about attitude, strong lines, dramatic movement, and character.

We’ll incorporate Fosse-inspired jazz positions, sharp angles, silhouettes, floor work, powerful poses, and theatrical movement. The dramatic lighting, shadows, fog, and haze will create images with a dark, cinematic feel.
