ATTIRE, SHOES, HAIR, MAKEUP & ACCESSORIES
Attire: Bring a variety of dancewear to pair with the skirts and dresses, such as crop tops and leotards in solid colors or prints. Please do not wear mini-shorts, as many of the skirts are sheer and this style of bottom does not photograph well underneath them. Brief-style bottoms are recommended, and I have some available at the studio.
Shoes: Barefoot or pointe shoes.
Hair: Hair can be worn in a style that complements your chosen looks. Sleek buns, loose hair, braids, or other styles that allow the skirt or dress to remain the focus can all work beautifully.
Makeup: Keep it natural and clean or add a little drama depending on the look you're creating.
Accessories: Keep accessories minimal so they don't compete with the movement and details of the skirts and dresses. Simple jewelry or other delicate accessories can work well.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
This session is all about movement, shape, and the way fabric comes to life through dance.
We'll experiment with turns, leaps, extensions, floor work, and flowing movements to capture the skirts and dresses in motion. The white and black backdrops will give us two completely different looks, allowing us to create everything from light and airy images to more dramatic and artistic portraits.
Come prepared to move, experiment, and create something a little different from a traditional dance portrait.
