Into the Jungle

DESCRIPTION

Step into the wild with an artistic, jungle-inspired dance session!

This is your chance to completely transform into something wild. Dancers can choose their own interpretation of the theme — from animal-inspired body paint and jungle creatures to full animal costumes, tribal-inspired styling, or a combination of both.

The set will feature a warm brown backdrop, lush greenery, and dramatic palm-leaf lighting to create depth, shadows, and atmosphere throughout the images.

 

And for dancers who really want to take their session to the next level, we even have a real snake that can be incorporated into the photos! The snake is completely optional and only used with dancers who are comfortable with it.

Whether you want to be wild, mysterious, fierce, or completely transformed, there are endless ways to make this theme your own!

Optional Makeup Artist: A professional makeup artist will be recommended for dancers who would like animal-inspired face/body paint or more elaborate makeup. Makeup artist fees will be the responsibility of the dancer and will vary depending on the desired look.

ATTIRE, SHOES, HAIR, MAKEUP & ACCESSORIES

This is a GO BIG theme!

Dancers can choose to wear:

• Animal-inspired costumes

• Jungle or tribal-inspired costumes

• Animal-print outfits

• Dancewear in earthy, jungle-inspired tones

• Body paint or partial body paint

• A combination of costume + body paint

​

Think leopard, reptiles, tiger, snake, zebra, exotic birds, jungle creatures, tribal-inspired details, feathers, fur, leaves, textures, and dramatic accessories.

​

Shoes can be barefoot, dance shoes, boots, or other footwear that complements the character and look.

​

Hair can be wild and untamed, braided, textured, slicked back, pulled into a dramatic style, or incorporated into the overall character.

​

Makeup can range from natural and earthy to full animal transformation. Professional makeup/body painting is highly recommended for dancers wanting a more elaborate painted look.

​

Accessories can include feathers, leaves, faux fur, animal ears, horns, jewelry, headpieces, vines, or other creative jungle-inspired details.

​

CREATIVE DIRECTION

This session is about transformation, character, movement, and imagination.

We’ll use the greenery, palm-leaf shadows, warm brown backdrop, and dramatic lighting to create depth and atmosphere. Dancers will have the opportunity to move beyond traditional dance portraits and really become their character.

​

Expect a mix of powerful dance poses, movement, floor work, creative shapes, dramatic portraits, and interaction with the set.
